GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Police have not made any arrests in the armed robbery that left two residents injured and their pet chihuahua dead early Monday morning.
Police say they do have a number of leads they're following up on.
On Monday, three masked suspects forced their way into the trailer home of Sherman and Carmen Jones in the Valley Ho Mobile Home Park at 1823 N. Washington St. at about 5:40 a.m.
Carmen Jones said Tuesday the men bound both her and Sherman with duct tape on the mouth or hands and kicked or hit each of them with a club. The men made off on foot with two TVs, jewelry, a safe and prescription drugs.
"I had duct tape on my mouth and they did the same to Sherman in the hall. I was in the front room and I watched my puppy die as I was getting bounded up and everything and he just kept on yelling obscenities and they had a gun, and bats, and everything else," Carmen said.
Two of the three suspects are about 6' with average builds, possibly in their late 20s with dark hair. The third appeared to be in his mid to late teens, about 5'8", with a slim build and blonde hair.
