Police ID 3 Suspects in Violent Grand Forks Robbery

Grand Forks police said today that they have in custody two of the three suspects involved in the Monday robbery where a homeowner was clubbed and his Chihuahua killed.

Grand Forks police said today that they have in custody two of the three suspects involved in the Monday robbery where a homeowner was clubbed and his Chihuahua killed.

In custody are Nathan Ratliff, 27, Fargo, and Allen Ratliff, 28, Grafton, N.D. The third suspect, Cody Boulduc, 24, Grand Forks, is still being sought.

The Ratliffs were each charged with robbery, burglary, two counts of aggravated assault, felonious restraint and theft of property. Charges for the death of the dog have not been issued.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

The robbery occurred at around 5:40 a.m. at at mobile home at the Valley Ho Mobile Home Park at 1823 N. Washington St. Sherman Jones, 39, and his wife Carmen, 47, were watching TV when robbers broke in. They made off with two TVs, a safe, jewelry and Carmen Jones' prescription drugs. In the process, they knocked Sherman Jones out with blunt weapons and killed one of five Chihuahuas the couple owned.
