Man Pleads in Pregant Woman Assault Case

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A Minneapolis man has pleaded not
guilty to assaulting a pregnant woman and her mother during a
domestic dispute in the northeast North Dakota city of Grand Forks
last month.
Thirty-four-year-old Jason Lyons is charged with misdemeanor
assault and felony aggravated assault, and could get more than five
years in prison if convicted.
Authorities accuse Lyons of hitting and kicking the stomach of a
pregnant woman in a Grand Forks apartment, then attacking the
woman's mother and knocking her unconscious.
