GF County Sobriety Checkpoint Results in No Arrests

2 arrests in alcohol enforcement saturation
GRAND FORKS COUNTY (WDAZ-TV) - A sobriety checkpoint conducted in Grand Forks County this past weekend netted no arrests. The checkpoint was conducted Saturday evening on the north edge of Grand Forks at the Highway 81 Business loop.

GRAND FORKS COUNTY (WDAZ-TV) - A sobriety checkpoint conducted in Grand Forks County this past weekend netted no arrests.

The checkpoint was conducted Saturday evening on the north edge of Grand Forks at the Highway 81 Business loop at Mill Road about one mile from the I-29 Washington St. exit from 8 to 11 p.m.

201 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Ten drivers had been consuming alcohol and were evaluated but not arrested.

The Highway Patrol also conducted alcohol enforcement saturation in Grand Forks County. Two people were arrested for DUI and numerous other citations were issued.

In the northeast region of North Dakota, there have been six traffic fatalities so far this year and four were alcohol-related.
