GRAND FORKS - Two men accused of robbing and beating a Grand Forks couple and killing one their Chihuahuas had their bond set Monday.
Allen Joseph Ratliff, 28, of Grafton, N.D., will be held without bond. His brother, Nathan Lawrence Ratliff, 27, had his bond set at $100,000 cash surety, according to a representative from Grand Forks County Corrections.
The two are charged with robbery, burglary, theft, felonious restraint and two counts of aggravate assault.
A third man, Cody Joe Boulduc, 24, of Grand Forks is facing those three charges but hasn’t been arrested yet.
The three are accused of breaking into the mobile home of Sherman and Carmen Jones, beating them with clubs, killing their Chihuahua, “Baby,” and stealing two televisions, a small safe, jewelry and prescription drugs.
