LEEDS, ND (WDAZ-TV) - North Dakota Department of Public Instruction officials say they found no wrongdoing on the part of a Leeds school that built a small "time out room" for uncontrollable students.

An official says the department worked with the Benson County Sheriff's Office earlier this week to investigate the room.

Their findings indicate the school broke no laws by using the small, carpeted room.

The DPI official says the room was the best solution at the time for the school.

School officials have since removed the door.

The school stopped using the room late last week after parents voiced concern over putting children in the confined area.
