GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Grand Forks Public Library is proud to stock the books that sparked a national controversy.

Public libraries in several states are pulling the racy romance trilogy "Fifty Shades of Grey" from shelves.

The books have been called "mommy porn," and they've been dominating the New York Times bestseller list, selling more than three million copies.

While the Campbell Library in East Grand Forks does not carry the trilogy, the Grand Forks Public Library says the books have been in high demand, with a list of more than 20 people waiting to check out the books.

"We've always had things that might offend some, but others are demanding in high numbers," Library Director of Administration Wendy Wendt said.

You can go online to get on the waiting list for the book or call the library.
