Fire West of Crookston Claims Shed, Kills Horse

NEAR CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A fire at Pierce Tire just west of Crookston killed a horse early Friday morning, the Crookston Times reports.

NEAR CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A fire at Pierce Tire just west of Crookston killed a horse early Friday morning, the Crookston Times reports.

The fire call came in at around 1:30 a.m.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, sparing the main building of the business and an out-building from damage.

A 40 by 120 foot shed was destroyed and a horse died in the fire.

Crookston Fire Chief Tom Froeber tells the Crookston Times that a cause has not been determined yet, but it appears to be accidental in nature.
