'Little Sturgis of the North' Set in Cavalier

CAVALIER, N.D. – The 16th annual Cavalier Motorcycle Ride-In, “Little Sturgis of the North,” is set for June 16 here.

The event started 16 years ago with about 60 motorcycles. It drew more than 1,800 motorcycles and 4,000 spectators last year.

The weekend kicks off June 15 in the Cedar Inn parking lot with food at 6:30 p.m. and live music from the Flying Blind from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. June 16, and a fun run ride is set for 10 that morning. Other Saturday events include a cash raffle at 5 p.m. and a street dance at 8 p.m.

The Cavalier Fire Department is hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the fire hall.
