EGF Man Wins $88,888

(WDAZ-TV) - An East Grand Forks man has won a top lottery prize. Andre Fortune bought a single Extreme 8s ticket at the American Legion Club in East Grand Forks Monday night, in the spur of the moment.

(WDAZ-TV) - An East Grand Forks man has won a top lottery prize.

The aptly-named Andre Fortune bought a single Extreme 8s ticket at the American Legion Club in East Grand Forks Monday night in the spur of the moment.

He won $88,888.

"I figured I'd stop in... and I decided to buy a ticket," Fortune told the Minnesota Lottery.

Fortune scratched the ticket at the counter when he revealed the prize amounts. "I saw a matching number. I scratched it and saw that ($88,888) and just about fell over!" Fortune said.

Fortune claimed the prize the next day.
