Restored 'Home of Economy' Sign Goes Up

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Workers put the finishing touches on a restored iconic sign on N. Washington St. on Friday.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Workers put the finishing touches on a restored iconic sign on N. Washington St. on Friday.

The Home of Economy sign has stood in front of the location since it opened in 1962. The 35-foot sign was taken down a little over one month ago for the first time in 50 years.

Restoration was done in St. Cloud and with a new coat of paint and new LED bulbs, the sign looks as good as new.
