DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — An administrator at Lake Region State College at Devils Lake has been named the school's interim president.

Doug Darling replaces Mike Bower in the school's top job. Bower resigned to take a job as president of a community college in Ohio.

Darling starts work June 18. He'll be paid $110,000 annually. He's been the vice president for instructional services at Lake Region since 1998.

Darling holds a doctorate from North Dakota State University in occupational and adult education. He was recently given an award as North Dakota's administrator of the year in career and technical education.

Lake Region is a two-year college. It has about 900 students.
