EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (WDAZ-TV) - The East Grand Forks city council met in a closed meeting with the city attorney Tuesday night to discuss the lawsuit brought by Fantasy's adult store last week.

Fantasy's owners Kim and Jim Patterson are suing the city of East Grand Forks after city officials shut the business down.

The Pattersons were told they couldn't open in the city's commercial zone. City officials say the store is a sexually-oriented business.

In East Grand Forks, sexually-oriented businesses can only open in the industrial zone.

Fantasy's owners opened their Fargo-based business in East Grand Forks without contacting the city after struggling to open the same store in Grand Forks.
