The wintry weather tonight didn't stop people from coming out to show their support for the Jones family in Grand Forks. 20 month old Nicholas Jones was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disorder when he was only a year old.

Tonight people came to Hope Evangelical Covenant Church for a benefit for Nicholas. People enjoyed a spaghetti dinner, and they bid on items in a silent auction. There was also a bake sale. Money raised will go towards the family's medical and travel expenses. His parents say they're amazed by the turnout tonight.

Josh Jones/Father: "We're still waiting for genetic testing results to see what kind of disease we're dealing with, but it slowed him down quite a bit after a year of age."
