BLIZZARD MOVES IN; NO TRAVEL ADVISED

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the ND Highway Patrol have extended a No Travel Advisory for all state highways in north east and north central North Dakota due to extremely high winds creating reduced visibility and zero visibility at times. Cities included in the No Travel Advisory are: Grand Forks, Grafton, Minot and Devils Lake and surrounding areas.

No Travel Advisory issued for north east ND, including Grand Forks & Grafton areas.

ND Highway 16 north of Beach is blocked due to snow.

A No Travel Advisory also remains in effect for south west North Dakota including the cities of Killdeer, Beach, Dickinson, Bowman, Hettinger and surrounding areas.

A Travel Alert is in effect for the remainder of the state.

All travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions, reduce traffic speeds as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling. For road information, call 511 from any type of phone or go to the website: www.dot.nd.gov. Please be advised that information on 511 and the travel map is updated daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. CST. The road report is based upon the information available to the NDDOT at the time of preparation and is provided solely as a public service. Conditions may vary from those reported.

If motorists become stranded they should stay with their vehicle and call 911 for emergency assistance.
