Police: Thai Tourist Assaulted, Robbed in Bismarck

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Bismarck police say a 22-year-old man from Thailand who was in town visiting relatives was assaulted and robbed after he left a grocery store.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Bismarck police say a 22-year-old man from Thailand who was in town visiting relatives was assaulted and robbed after he left a grocery store.

Police tell the Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/LHXDuQ ) that the man reported the assault early Saturday. The man told police that two men followed him on foot from the supermarket, stopped him hand demanded his wallet. Police say when he refused to give the men his wallet, they beat him with fists and stole his wallet, which contained about $10.

Police say the case is under investigation.
