GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Drivers in Grand Forks will start to see more road construction projects as we move closer to summer.
There are about 25 projects planned across the city this season. There are at least some construction projects on most of the main roadways over the summer.
Drivers will already notice work being done on 32nd Ave. S., where part of the road will be dug up to fix catch basins in preparation for next year's mill and overlay project from Washington to the Interstate 29
Drivers might be glad to put up with construction for about a month on a rough stretch of Minnesota Ave. and 4th Ave. S., where the entire stretch of road will get new layer of pavement.
Sections of Columbia are also being be worked on.
"That's going to be somewhat disruptive on Columbia Road there is going to be lane changes for probably two months," Assistant Grand Forks City Engineer Rich Romness said.
Most of the bigger projects on Columbia Road and 32nd Ave. S. are scheduled for next year.
