1 Injured in Grand Forks Motorcycle Crash

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A man was taken to Altru Hospital early Tuesday evening after crashing his motorcycle.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A Hatton, ND, man was taken to Altru Hospital early Tuesday evening after crashing his motorcycle in Grand Forks.

It happened at the intersection of 17th Ave. S. and S. Washington, right in front of Frandsen Bank around 5:15 p.m.

Mitchell Gallo, 55, was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on S. Washington St. when he was changing lanes. Police say he was following too close to a vehicle, locked up his brake and the motorcycle tipped onto its side.

Gallo was thrown from the motorcycle and was laying in the roadway on S. Washington. He was able to walk to the sidewalk with the help of bystanders. Gallo was not wearing a helmet and had non life-threatening injuries.
