DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - As of Wednesday, both grocery stores in Devils Lake are operated by the same company.

Leevers Foods has officially taken over Wally's Supermarket.

The store's new name is Leevers Foods South, while the former Leevers County Market will be renamed Leevers Foods North.

Store Manager Dave Brustad says nearly all of Wally's 65 employees will stay.

He says there are a few things to smooth out with the ownership change, but the store should return to normal for customers within the next two weeks.

"Right now they're going to notice a few possible inconveniences. Some of our services are a little bit delayed because anytime a transition like this happens, there are services such as our money orders that get delayed a little bit," Brustad said.

Store prices will be lowered to match those of the other Leevers outlet in town.

Wally's signs at the store will be changed over to Leevers within the next couple weeks.
