(AP) — Potato stocks in North Dakota are down 18 percent from a year ago The Agriculture Department says growers, dealers and processors held 1.4 million hundredweight of potatoes in storage on June 1. Current stocks represent about 7 percent of production.

The Agriculture Department says growers, dealers and processors held 1.4 million hundredweight of potatoes in storage on June 1. Current stocks represent about 7 percent of production.

Nationally, potato stocks on June 1 stood at 43.9 million hundredweight, up 6 percent over the year.
