CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire at the Crookston Bean Inc. plant on Tuesday evening.

Around 7:45 p.m., firefighters were called to the plant at 1600 South Main Street for flames shooting out of a dryer near the main building. The large, two-story dryer had yellow peas inside of it that apparently caught fire.

Firefighters worked to empty the dryer and used a thermal camera to check for hot spots. No one was injured.

Along with the Crookston Fire Department, police and an ambulance responded.

There did not appear to be any damage to the main building. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known.
