Families Find the Perfect Father's Day Gift

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Father's Day is tomorrow, and many procrastinators out there were running around today trying to find the perfect gift for Dad.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Father's Day is tomorrow, and many procrastinators out there were running around today trying to find the perfect gift for Dad.

This holiday is something Americans have celebrated since the early 1900s and although each person has a good idea of what to get Dad, Father's themselves say it's all about the love.

Some ideas of the the perfect gift are a little far-fetched.

But most keep their biggest wishes under the rug on this holiday. Some even claim the holiday for themselves or just get something the whole family can enjoy.

"A retro dinning chair, it's called a lucy chair, we've got four, we need two more," Jaime Tellmann said.

But whatever it is, most people agree Dad is hard to shop for and the best gifts are those with no price tag.

"Father's day is reflecting on some of the people that are most important for us like our fathers and now that I get to be a father it's awesome to spend time with my son," Garth Ridland said.

Whether it's about picking out the best tent, finding the perfect card or playing a round of golf, most dad's agree it's not the tangible things that really count, what really matters is the time you spend with your father.

"I love playing anything with my son. We play basketball, baseball, soccer, golf. Anytime I can come out here with him is a great time," Ridland said.

Honoring your dad and thanking him for always being your number 1 fan.

Dad's around agree, wherever you find yourself tomorrow, make sure you find a little time for Dad, too.
