MOORHEAD – Police here were at an apartment building to deal with a report of an argument when dispatch reported a man in the same building had called 911 and wanted a Band-Aid.

The officers had spoken to the man, Michael William Ramsdel, 24, regarding the argument and they told him not to call 911 for a non-emergency.

According to court documents, the officers were about to leave the scene when dispatch said the man called again. When the officers asked Ramsdel why he called 911 again, he said he wanted to confirm they were, in fact, real police officers.

Ramsdel was issued a citation for misuse of 911 and told if he called again, he would go to jail.

Officers believe Ramsdel was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
