Walsh County Sobriety Checkpoint Nets No Arrests

WALSH COUNTY, ND (WDAZ-TV) - All 205 drivers that passed through a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Walsh County were driving legally.

WALSH COUNTY, ND (WDAZ-TV) - All 205 drivers that passed through a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Walsh County were driving legally.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Walsh County Sheriff's Department and Grafton police held a sobriety checkpoint about a half a mile west of Grafton on Highway 17.

In two hours, 205 cars passed through the checkpoint. Only eleven drivers had been consuming alcohol and were further evaluated. No DUI arrests were necessary.

The Highway Patrol also held an alcohol enforcement saturation in Pembina County on June 15 and 16. Five drivers were arrested for DUI.
