GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Fourth of July is over, but the cleanup is just beginning.

Starr Fireworks employees and volunteers are spending the day out on gravel roads cleaning up firework debris and other garbage from the holiday.

They spend nearly five hours cleaning up what others have left behind.

Some say they wish people would just pick up after themselves, but they're happy more are trying to help out.

"This years' been nice, there's been a lot of people that have bagged their stuff and left it on the side of the road so we're not picking up littler stuff. So it's been a lot nicer this year than in the past," John Tozer, with Starr Fireworks, said.

Each fireworks business cleans up certain sections around Grand Forks every year.
