DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) -

After a five-year review, the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation has re-accredited the program.

85 percent of the curriculum is working hands-on with cars, much more than other programs in the state.

The school's two instructors have taught together for 19 years.

They say cars are a lot different now than they were when the program began.

"Automotive technology is changing everyday. Rick and I spend a lot of time updating, usually during the summer," Automotive Tech instructor Randy Olson said.

Automotive techs are in demand. Olson says the job placement rate for the program is at least 90 percent.
