GRAND FORKS - A man drove a late ‘90s Chevrolet Blazer through the bay garage door on the east side of Lithia Ford Lincoln of Grand Forks around 8:30 p.m. Monday, according to witnesses.
Ryan Bohn and Grant Dahl, both of Grand Forks, said the man then backed the vehicle out of the garage before speeding behind the south side of the building and stopping in another open bay where an employee was working.
Bohn and Dahl were driving through the lot, located at 2073 32nd Ave. S., when they saw the vehicle back out of the garage. They drove around the north side to try to cut the driver off, but when he didn’t come around to the west side, they drove to the south side of the building and found him squealing the tires of his car in a bay used for detailing.
The man appeared to be disoriented and at one point yelled an indiscernible phrase as police prepared to move him into an ambulance.
Lithia employees said a woman was working on a vehicle when the man drove into the bay and was nearly hit.
Police were investigating the incident Monday evening and did not provide any further information.
