Altru Clinic - Lake Region has received a three-year term of accreditation in mammography after being evaluated by board-certified experts in the field. It's mandatory that clinics pass these tests and receive certification. They must be evaluated every three years by the American College of Radiology. Surveyors check adequacy of equipment and the qualifications of staff.
Janis Jaeger/Mammography Supervisor: "When a patient comes in they should look for a certificate. We have ours hanging in our mammogram room and that shows that we have passed their tests.”
Jaeger says Altru Clinic - Lake Region has never failed this test.
