(WDAZ-TV) - Paul LaDue is back in town after his first taste of NHL action.

When the L.A. Kings drafted LaDue, he became the first Grand Forks native selected since Ryan Potulny nine years ago.

LaDue spent the week in Los Angeles at the Kings' development camp where he says he played well and had a strong defensive showing against some of the top hockey prospects in the world.

LaDue will play for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL this year before heading to UND.
