Sgt. Stephen McCarty says officers were called to the 1700 block of Glenwood Avenue North around 4:45 p.m. Saturday They discovered a woman dead inside a home.
Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately available, but police said they did not believe there was a threat to the general public. There were no immediate arrests.
Police say it was Minneapolis' 16th homicide this year.
