JAMESTOWN, N.D. – A single-vehicle crash near here late Saturday left two people injured and the driver charged for driving under the influence.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol:
The accident occurred just after 10 p.m. three miles east of Jamestown on Stutsman County Road 40.
Michael Ambers, 30, of Buchanan, N.D., was driving westbound when his vehicle ran off the roadway into the northside ditch.
Ambers continued to drive westbound in the ditch before he struck an approach and vaulted the car. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the passenger side of the north-side ditch.
Jamestown Crash rescue responded to the scene and extricated Ambers and his passenger, Nonnie Jasmann, 26, of Jamestown.
Jasmann and Ambers were both taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. From there, Ambers was then transported by Life Flight to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
The extent of their injuries is not known.
Ambers was charged for driving under the influence, the highway patrol said.
