Former Warroad High School and UND forward T.J. Oshie has agreed to a five-year contract with the NHL's St. Louis Blues, avoiding arbitration.
The Blues announced the deal Thursday night, one night before Oshie's case was scheduled to go to arbitration.
The Blues say the contract is worth an average of $4.175 million per year.
Oshie played at UND from 2005 until 2008. He has played four seasons with the Blues, scoring a career-high 54 points in 80 games last season.
