DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) - The National Weather Service says

Devils Lake is almost certain to rise to a record level again this

summer. And there is better than an equal chance that the lake will

surpass 1,452 feet.

The weather service Friday in its latest flood outlook said

there is a 90 percent chance that Devils Lake will rise to 1,451.4

feet, more than half a foot higher than the record of 1,450.72 feet

set last July.

There is a 60 percent chance the lake will hit 1,452 feet.

Devils Lake has more than tripled in size since the early 1990s

because of a series of wet years, causing hundreds of millions of

dollars in damage.
