Three people in Grand Forks have been charged for human trafficking of a minor. Two men and one woman face charges for pimping out a 17-year-old girl.

Travis Johnson, 29, Joshua Harry, 27, and Amanda Stewart, 22 each face a charge of human trafficking for persuading the girl to engage in sexual acts with men. The three advertised the woman as an escort on backpage.com and drove her to numerous apartments and hotels around Grand Forks for "shows." Prostitution has been seen only a few times in the community. This is the first case of human trafficking of a minor in the community.

Harry remains in the Grand Forks County Jail. Johnson is serving a state prison sentence in Rugby, ND. The charges carry a maximum penalty of life in prison.
