The labor dispute continues between American Crystal Sugar and union workers causing some members of Congress to suggest bringing in a "new high level mediator".

Four Minnesota members of Congress including Representatives Collin Peterson and Tim Walz and Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken have suggested a new mediator.

They wrote a letter to both sides stating that they understood the proposal on the table has not changed and that the union has made quite a few offers.

Although the group of leaders do not take sides the letter also states that farmers, union members and American Crystal Sugar have all suffered because of the lock-out.

Union members say both sides would have to agree to get a new mediator and some don't think that will happen. American Crystal Executives say a new mediator wouldn't change anything and their final offer still stands.
