Bikers will rev up their engines tomorrow for a 200 mile ride helping the Lake Region Search and Rescue team.
The "Lunacy" bike group is hosting the fundraiser for the third year in a row. The rally will also feature a silent auction and block party tomorrow night.
Group members say the search and rescue group isn't as well known around the region as it should be. The group helps provide a unique service for a region with much more water than surrounding areas.
State senator Dave Oehlke helped form the group in 1981. He says they've come a long way from humble beginnings.
Oehlke: "And then we begged and borrowed and stole from every other agency we could and got contributions from the elks, the eagles, the fire department and everyone we could, and what you see here is a result of that."
Anyone can join the ride, even if you have four wheels instead of two. Registration begins at 10am tomorrow at Pops bar in Devils Lake.
