ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) The first cases of a new strain of influenza are being reported in Minnesota. The strain comes from contact with pigs.

Two cases are being reported in preschool age children from a family living in the Twin Cities. The younger child tested positive. The older child is considered "probable" based on the child's history of the illness and family connection.

In addition to Minnesota, there are 200 cases being reported in eight states. Most are coming from children who were exhibiting pigs at fairs.
