North Dakota high school grads are scoring lower than the average on the ACT.
North Dakota grads earned a 20.7 composite ACT score in 2012, lower
than the national average of 21.1.
The North Dakota college readiness level in science equaled the national average. Readiness levels in English, math, and reading were lower than the national average. North Dakota is one of only nine states testing 100% of high school graduates. Out of those states, the score earned by North Dakota grads is the second highest, falling only behind Illinois.
