State District Judge Joel Medd threw out the last felony charges this week in a botched investigation into suspected steroid possession by three former UND football players.

Justin Belotti, Mitch Goertz and Kenny Watkins were arrested in December after police found sterioids, adderall and marijuana in their home. Watkins pleaded guilty in March to misdemeanor pot charges and served 10 days in jail.

Medd ordered the charges against Goertz be dismissed August 9th. Now he's done the same for 23-year-old Justin Belotti who finished his senior year playing safety for UND last fall.

The football players faced Class C felony charges with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Belotti is now a graduate assistant coach at University of Mary in Bismarck.
