Roseau County Prisoner on the Loose

Authorities are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody Monday in Roseau County, Minn.

Authorities are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody Monday in Roseau County, Minnesota.

According to the Roseau County Sheriff’s Department Kevin Leigh Martin Jr. escaped while he was working with a service work crew on Monday morning.

Martin, who is described as American Indian, 6-foot-one and weighs 205, was being held for felony vehicle theft.

Authorities say Martin apparently had help from an outsider. A van was recovered and investigators said Martin fled on foot.
