A dog believed to have been hit by a train a few weeks ago is almost ready for adoption.
The dog, now nicknamed Lucky has recovered from most of his injuries and will undergo one more surgery on his hip. The dog was found lying next to the railroad tracks near Fisher two weeks ago.
A man who rescued the dog says the back legs of the dog were tied with twine when he found him. The humane society in Crookston has almost received enough donations to cover the vet bills and they have had several offers to adopt Lucky.
If you'd like to help with vet bills donations are being accepted by the Polk County Humane Society.
