Canadians Pack Area Stores to Score Deals this Holiday Weekend

Today's dreary holiday weather made for a perfect shopping day in the south end of town, especially for Canadians who were heading home after a long camping weekend.

Today's dreary holiday weather made for a perfect shopping day in the south end of town, especially for Canadians who were heading home after a long camping weekend.

This afternoon the Target parking lot was packed with RV's, most if not all with Manitoba license plates. Although some were making a pit stop on their way home from camping others came to town specifically to shop.

For Canadians it's called 'September Long Weekend.' Most say it's their last chance to pack their cars to the brim before summer ends. As always, Canadian shoppers say it's the low price which they can't turn down. And no matter how packed the checkout lines are or how scarce parking is they say Americans treat them well.
