A serious farm accident occurred this morning when a local man got his foot caught in a grain auger.

59-year-old David Braze was shoveling grain into the auger system at the Honeyford North Dakota Farmer's Elevator this morning when his foot slipped and became stuck in the chute. He was able to radio someone inside the grain elevator who pushed an emergency shut-off button. Braze was rescued by Gilby Fire and Altru Ambulance and taken to Altru for non-life threatening injuries.

He remains at Altru in satisfactory condition.
