Minnesota Movie Wins Oscar Nomination

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A movie made in Minnesota is among the
Academy Awards' 10 best picture nominees. "A Serious Man" is
about a Midwestern college professor whose 1960s home life is
upended. The movie is by St. Louis Park natives Joel and Ethan Coen
"Up in the Air," based on a novel by Minnesotan Walter Kirn is
also nominated for best picture.
