North Dakota Republican candidates met with some eager UND students today to discuss why they need the college students' vote.

Jack Dalrymple, Randy Christmann and Kevin Cramer were just a few of the candidates at the event today. Students had the opportunity to chat with candidates one-on-one and really get to know what's on their agenda for the upcoming election. Governor Jack Dalrymple says it's important to get the vote of students because he says those are the people who will change the future not only of this state, but of this country. Students also say it's comforting seeing their peers show up and taking pride in such an important event.

The first lady also tagged along for today's event. The meet and greet was just a small part of the candidates plans for potato bowl weekend. They'll all be at the parade tomorrow and Governor Dalrymple says he'll be going to the game.
