Shopko Opens it's Doors in East Grand Forks

The East Grand Forks Pamida is now a Shopko retail department store.
East Grand Forks Mayor Lynn Stauss was on hand this morning to cut the ribbon for the grand opening of the new store. The business was closed just one day during the transition. Shopko stores are also planned for Grafton, Cavalier, Bottineau and Roseau. Manager Catherine Scherer says the biggest difference people will notice is that the stores will carry more name brands. She says its East Grand Forks location gives the store a competitive edge.
During the grand opening Shopko donated $2,500 to the East Grand Forks High School to show community support.
