Officials in Devils Lake are crossing their fingers for an Emmy after a documentary on lake region flooding is nominated for the award.

Officials in Devils Lake are crossing their fingers for an Emmy after a documentary on lake region flooding is nominated for the award.

The Prairie Public documentary titled "Mother Nature in Charge -- Devils Lake Life Stories" is nominated for best Topical Documentary for the 2012 Upper Midwest Emmy Awards. Officials say they hope the recognition helps keep Devils Lake flooding on people's minds.
