Residents of Drayton will be asked to approve a $3.15 million bond issue to pay for school improvements.

The vote is scheduled for October ninth. If the measure passes the money will go for a new roof and other improvements. The Superintendent says that the school is 50 years old and it's been 20 years since any roof work was done. The school has about 150 students.

The proposed tax increase would raise individual property taxes on a $50,000 dollar house by $63 a year
