Charges Filed in Devils Lake Accident

Charges have been filed against the driver in the crash that killed two members of the Kentucky National Guard in Devils Lake.

The driver, 23-year-old Christopher Brandt was charged around 4pm this afternoon in Ramsey County with two counts of manslaughter and one count of reckless endangerment.

Police say 23-year-old Jason Burnette of Manchester, Kentucky and 31-year-old Ronald Forsyth of Owenton, Kentucky died early yesterday morning when the car they were in left a roadway in Devils Lake and slammed into a tree. The 4 soldiers were training at the North Dakota National Guard's Camp Grafton facility south of Devils Lake.
