An intersection near the Alerus Center should flow a little better after today.
For more than a month the intersection at North 42nd and 11th Street South was made into a four-way stop after a tractor snagged the wire and pulled down the traffic signal in late July. Officials with the city of Grand Forks say they couldn't get replacement poles because the increased traffic in the western part of the state has caused a serious shortage. The city has been on a waiting list for poles and officials are finally going to pick up the new ones today in Castleton. Many say it's about time as the four-way stop has caused major delays.
